LC Venture China
In 2009 Mr. Gaston Chee and Ms. Jennifer Leong founded a social enterprise BeGo, – ‘Be Empowered, Go Beyond’- with support from the Institute of Applied Entrepreneurship at Coventry University. BeGo operated an online platform which provides relocation and settlement services to students travelling to the UK to study. In 2011, BeGO joined the Coventry and Warwickshire Co-operative Development Agency (CWCDA) to collaborate with their activities and raised over £1M from Venture Capital firm Midven in the Midwest and other angels the next year. It expanded its scope of services to include assist asian private business owners focusing in real estate, B2B matchmaking, and visa and immigration services.
In 2014 LC Venture was incorporated and expanded to China, making fully acquisition of the brand BeGo Education. The brand currently operates a range of bespoke education consultancy services to Chinese families who wish to send their children to international schools in China, the UK boarding schools and UK institutions of higher education. At the moment the company actively serves over 100 ultra-high net worth families from 15 cities in China with a combined net worth of 1 billion RMB.
LC Venture Beijing Office provides customised solutions for Chinese clients seeking global investment and immigration opportunities. It also actively participates in the Chinese investment market. By the end of 2017, its business has expanded to 15 first- and second-tier cities in China, and completed a series of acquisitions of energy and real estate projects.
In 2017, LC Venture led the foundation of China Going Global Forum, joined by diplomats from Beijing’s 166 embassies, representatives of the 60 countries on the Belt and Road and senior Chinese government, business, media and philanthropic leaders. The aim of the forum is to help its members make the connections which underpin sustainable business in the China century.
